About Men | Mountain View | Thursday (Jonathan Lane-Smith)
Hey everyone! I will be leading a men's CG of 10 guys, on Thursdays at 7:30pm, in Mountain View (near Central Expy & Rengstorff). I plan to start off going through either Nehemiah or Hosea, determined by popular vote.
Here are the 4 main principles I envision for this group:
1. Digging deep into Scripture, understanding the context, and understanding what it meant for the audience at the time.
2. Understanding what it means for us and finding practical ways to apply the Biblical truths to our lives and our relationships with God and others.
3. Following up with each other the following week to ask how we're doing with applying those practical changes, and helping to support each other and keep each other accountable.
4. Last but not least, spending significant time in prayer, praising God for his goodness and praying for each other.
